Let's discuss your project

Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Every catalogue sells a designer desk; very few can say who designed it and why it looks the way it does. Énosi by Las Mobili carries the signature of Nikolas Chachamis, and even its name is a design statement — Greek for union. The union in question is visible: a thin top meeting tapered conical steel legs, joined so cleanly the desk reads as one gesture rather than an assembly.

The top decides the register. Rear-lacquered tempered glass, 12 mm, with flat polished edges in Black or Extra White — anchored to the frame on turned stainless-steel supports — gives the desk the reflective depth that only glass has. The alternative is a 30 mm MDF top in 3d-foil: Pacific Walnut, Black or White. Legs come painted white or black, or in polished chrome, each with die-cast levelling feet finished to match. A strict palette — walnut, black, white, chrome — is precisely what lets a designer desk furnish a room instead of decorating it.

Design down to the drawer

The mobile pedestals roll on twin rubber-coated castors with chromed covers and front brakes, open by push (no handles anywhere), and hide a designer's touch: a pull-out stationery tray with compartments for a tablet and phone. Service units can double as structural desk bases; stackable modular units and an open lacquered bookcase element compose light storage walls; cabinets take rear-lacquered glass doors with concealed aluminium frames. The certificates are available among the downloadable documents on this page.

When it is the right choice

  • Rooms that live on daylight: 12 mm rear-lacquered tempered glass, flat polished edge, Black or Extra White on stainless-steel supports.
  • Projects where the metal is the gesture: conical legs in polished chrome or painted white or black, matching feet with 20 mm adjustment.
  • Light-touch storage: pedestals on twin castors and 45/90 stackable modules with a lacquered open bookcase element.

FAQ

Glass or 3d-foil top — what is the honest daily-use answer?

Glass earns its keep in rooms that live on light: the 12 mm rear-lacquered tempered surface has a depth no laminate can imitate, the flat polished edges are jewellery-grade, and being lacquered from behind, the colour cannot scratch off. It does ask for a wipe more often than foil. The 30 mm 3d-foil top in Pacific Walnut, Black or White is the lower-maintenance route with a warmer read. We send physical samples of both; the sample cost is credited in full against a confirmed order.

What does the name Énosi actually mean?

It is Greek for union — and it is the design brief in one word. Nikolas Chachamis resolved the meeting of top and leg, of glass and steel, so cleanly that the desk reads as a single gesture: the glass sits on turned stainless-steel supports, the tapered legs receive the beams with hidden screws, and nothing interrupts the line. A designer desk that explains its own name is rarer than it should be.

Painted legs or polished chrome?

Chrome is the statement: with the Extra White glass top it produces the classic luminous designer desk that photographs like product design. Painted black or white legs are the architectural route — the desk recedes and the room speaks. One practical note that decides many projects: the die-cast levelling feet are finished to match the leg in every version, with 20 mm of adjustment, so the detail holds even on imperfect floors.

Where does storage live if the desk is this light?

On wheels and in compositions. The mobile pedestal — twin rubber castors, chromed covers, front brakes — rolls where the work is and hides a pull-out stationery tray with tablet and phone compartments in its top drawer. Service units double as structural desk bases. For walls, the stackable 45/90 cm modular units with an open lacquered bookcase element compose light, gallery-like storage rather than office cabinetry. Everything opens by push; there is not a handle on the desk side of the room.

What documentation is available for specification?

The technical data sheet, 3D models and images are published by Las Mobili, and the product certificates are available among the downloadable documents on this page. Project-specific requirements — emissions data, fire classification, environmental criteria — are confirmed project by project before order, so the specification and the delivered product match exactly.

Specifying a designer desk that survives the moodboard: five steps

Five decisions for A&D and design-led clients — authorship, top, metal, storage and samples — to take Énosi from image to order.

Decide why it must be a designer desk

If the room only needs a work surface, any desk will do. Énosi belongs where the desk is part of the interior architecture — a director's room that flows into a living-like space, a studio, a residence office. The signature matters here: a named design by Nikolas Chachamis gives the specification an author, and the client a story that survives the moodboard stage.

Choose the top by light, not by habit

Rear-lacquered glass in Extra White turns daylight into the room's material; Black glass gives reflective depth to strong interiors. The 30 mm 3d-foil top in Pacific Walnut warms the composition and forgives fingerprints. Rule of thumb: glass where the desk is seen from standing height and light is generous; foil where the desk works hard all day.

Set the metal: chrome speaks, paint recedes

Polished chrome legs make the desk the room's object; painted white or black legs make it the room's architecture. Match the modesty panel (3d-foil, hung from the beams) and remember the levelling feet follow the leg finish — the composition stays coherent to the floor.

Compose storage as furniture, not filing

A mobile pedestal at the desk, a service unit as a base where structure is welcome, and a wall of stackable 45/90 modular units finished top and sides, punctuated by the open lacquered bookcase element. Glass-door cabinets in Black or Extra White close the palette. Push-open everywhere keeps the fronts silent.

Approve samples in the room, then order once

Glass, foil and chrome behave differently under the room's actual light — approve physical samples on site; the sample cost is credited in full against a confirmed order. Then confirm the configuration in writing: top type, leg finish, storage composition and the top-access choice for meeting tables, black or white, with or without sockets.
