Most desks are launched. e-10 was inherited. Quadrifoglio declares it openly: this is the evolution of the X10 line, carrying over the seamless dialogue between legs and top while introducing new variations of shape and finish. What stays is the harmony; what changes is the wardrobe — veneered structure, lacquered or wooden panel legs, and a top that can take a leather inlay stitched along its perimeter.

The second edition also answers a specific request: the version with an engraved modesty panel, designed — in the company's own words — to meet international tastes. Around the designer desk grows a full family: an ambidextrous return with a supporting pedestal, meeting tables in two to four modules, and a choice of three wood veneers or over twenty matt lacquers plus the entire RAL scale.

La Mercanti supplies e-10 across the UK and worldwide, configured against Quadrifoglio's official documentation — so the desk you sign off is exactly the one that arrives.

FAQ

Which parts of e-10 are wood and which are lacquer?

You decide. Tops are always veneered — grey elm, American walnut or striped ebony — with an optional leather inlay; the panel legs can match the veneer or switch to matt lacquer in 23 colours, extendable to any RAL shade.

How long can the desk itself be?

Four lengths are catalogued: 204, 224, 244 and 264 cm, all 100 cm deep and 76 cm high. Adding the ambidextrous return brings the overall depth to 220 cm, with the pedestal doing the structural work.

Is there a matching table for the boardroom?

Yes — e-10 meeting tables grow by modules: 280, 420 or 560 cm long, 140 cm deep. Tops repeat the desk's veneers and can carry the same stitched leather inlay, so the executive floor reads as one project.

What happens behind the desk when guests sit opposite?

Three options screen the front: nothing at all, a 40 cm veneered panel — plain or engraved — or a full-height 70 cm modesty panel in washable anti-reflection melamine or matching veneer.

When would my e-10 actually arrive?

Every desk is made to order in Italy, so lead times depend on finishes and current production; La Mercanti confirms the delivery date in writing with the order confirmation, together with tailored shipping to the UK.

How to measure a room before ordering an e-10

Four desk lengths and three front panels only pay off if the room is measured first. Five steps with a tape measure, before any order form.

Walk the walls

Measure the wall behind the intended e-10 position and note windows, radiators and skirting depth: the desk sits best with air on both sides.

Draw the circulation

Allow at least a metre behind the chair and a clear path to the door; with the return fitted, the footprint deepens to 220 cm.

Choose the length on paper

Tape the four candidate lengths — 204 to 264 cm — on the floor and sit where the chair would go before committing to one.

Check the guest side

If visitors will sit opposite the e-10, decide now between open front, 40 cm panel or full-height screen: it changes what the room shows.

Map the power

Locate floor boxes and sockets, then plan grommet and cable spine positions so the wiring route is settled before the desk is.
