Most reception desks arrive with a finish book thick enough to stall a project meeting. Martex hands you a single page instead: Kyo Reception is dressed in two oak veneers, three gres surfaces or six shades of BioArgilla - eleven finishes in three materials, and nothing else on the card. Mario Mazzer's design — the same hand as the Kyo executive desk — does the editing before the specifier has to.

The short palette is not a limit but a register: Rovere Classico or Tabacco for warmth, Loft Beige, Pacific Bianco or Storm Nero gres where the front must shrug off daily wear, and the hand-applied BioArgilla where the entrance deserves a surface with its own texture. Every choice still sits on the same 70 mm (2.8 in) honeycomb top and the same pure volumes, so the desk reads as one object in any of the eleven dresses.

La Mercanti sends the actual Martex samples of all three materials together, so your client compares oak, gres and BioArgilla side by side before the order is written - on real material, in your own light.

FAQ

How wide can a double composition for two operators run?
The two-body schemes of the abacus run 3600, 4400 or 4800 mm overall, and the versions with side wings stretch further - always on the same 1000 mm depth, so a second operator never changes the footprint towards the visitor.
Is the desk handed - can we mirror the layout?
Yes. Every scheme in the technical chart exists in right- and left-handed versions, marked RH/DX and LH/SX, so the counter follows the direction your visitors actually arrive from.
Where does the wiring live once the desk is installed?
Inside a fitted unit under the top on the operator side: the electrification sits behind a removable door with magnetic closure, and a dedicated cable spine gathers the runs. The base itself can be electrified, so nothing crosses the floor in view.
Can the counter and its base wear different finishes?
They can - both are offered in oak veneer, gres or BioArgilla, so you may pair a Rovere Classico body with a Storm Nero base or keep a single material throughout. The operator compartment stays in Titanio 041 either way.
What arrives with the quotation from La Mercanti?
A drawn composition from the seven-scheme abacus with the handing marked, the finish codes named, and every delivery date confirmed in writing at order confirmation - one contact follows the project through to installation.

How to receive a Kyo Reception in a building that never stops

Lobbies cannot close for furniture. This is the sequence La Mercanti uses to bring a Kyo Reception by Martex through a working entrance - goods lift, timing, waste - without a visitor noticing.

Reserve the quiet window
Agree with building management the hours when the entrance runs slowest, and reserve the goods lift for the Kyo Reception delivery inside that window.
Measure the route, not just the lobby
Check door widths, lift depth and any turn along the path against the packed dimensions La Mercanti provides for each Kyo Reception element.
Keep the front desk working
Plan a temporary welcome point a few metres aside, so reception staff keep greeting visitors while the old counter leaves and the new one arrives.
Assemble from the wall outwards
Let the installers position the body first, then the top and the upper element, leaving the visitor side clear until the final panels click into place.
Hand over with the packaging gone
Have all crates and protective film removed the same day, then walk the operator through the compartments before the next morning shift.
