Five awards in two years for one desk — Mario Mazzer

Juries rarely agree with each other; on one executive desk by Mario Mazzer they did, five times. Between 2009 and 2010 his Ola for Martex collected the Red Dot twice, the Good Design Award, the ADI Design Award and the Pragointerier prize. Mazzer has run his own practice since 1980 — Mario Mazzer Architects, a team of architects, engineers and interior designers working across industrial design, interiors and urban planning — and the office desk is where that breadth condenses into one precise object.
