Let's discuss your project

Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Look at the edge of an X10 top: a 50 mm band of solid presence, with the veneer grain running unbroken around the corner. That band is not applied trim — the panel is worked with a folding technique, cut and folded from a single piece so the long sides become bands of the same wood, finished with 1 mm timber edges and softly radiused corners. It is the kind of joinery you notice only when it is missing.

Dorigo Design shaped the rest around that discipline: a sculptural top in grey elm, American walnut or striped ebony, a leather insert stitched tone on tone, cable trays hidden in the veneered legs. Modern desks run from 190 to 250 cm, with a structural return to 220 deep, meeting tables grow by sectors, and the collection holds a PDA Product Design Award from Index in Dubai. La Mercanti supplies X10 to UK projects as one scheme — physical samples first, delivery terms confirmed in writing.

FAQ

What is the folding technique used on the X10 tops?

The long sides of the panel are cut and folded from one piece, so the 50 mm edge bands share the same veneer and grain as the surface. Edges are then closed with 1 mm timber lipping and radiused — joinery you feel with a fingertip.

Which sizes does the X10 executive desk come in?

Four widths — 190, 210, 230 and 250 cm, all 100 cm deep and 76 cm high — plus the version with a structural return, which takes the footprint to 220 cm deep.

How does X10 handle cables in a boardroom setting?

Meeting tables carry cable-ready legs and a tray whose lid opens from both sides; desks add wire trays in the legs and an extensible spiral spine that guides cables to the floor.

Is the X10 tested to any furniture standards?

Quadrifoglio declares tests to EN 527 and EN 1730 — loads, fatigue, impact, stability — at the CATAS laboratory; the reports are confirmed project by project on the manufacturer's documentation.

What happens between choosing X10 finishes and delivery in the UK?

Samples travel first — their cost fully credited at order confirmation — then La Mercanti issues one written quotation with delivery terms confirmed in writing, covering desk, tables and storage together.

How to specify the X10 for a UK executive floor

Five steps from joinery detail to coordinated delivery, the way La Mercanti runs it with buyers and A&D.

Judge the edge first

Ask for the folding detail on the sample: the 50 mm band tells you how the whole desk is built.

Pick wood and leather

Grey elm, walnut or ebony; red, brown or black insert. Decide on physical samples.

Set widths on the plan

190 to 250 cm, with or without the structural return; draw the guest zone in front.

Scale the meeting room

Sector tables from 140 to 560 cm keep the executive palette across the floor.

Order as one scheme

One written quotation from La Mercanti, one coordinated delivery to site.
