Let's discuss your project

Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Most reception counters are straight because straight is easy. Z2 treats the corner as part of the language: corner modules, both terminal and intermediate, let the counter follow the wall, wrap a pillar or open towards the lift lobby instead of sitting flat against a wall. The eight catalogue compositions run from a compact 126 cm up to 492 cm, and several of them bend.

The engineering underneath — the same as the Z1 — is plain and honest: wood-based panels with 2 mm impact-resistant ABS edges, 45-degree mitred joints pulled together by 90-degree fittings, steel legs in 50×50 mm tube. Tops are scratch-resistant, washable melamine at 30 mm. Where the plan calls for it, a lowered module keeps the same finish and joins the run without a visual break.

Quadrifoglio lists hotels, schools, shops and waiting areas among its intended settings — anywhere a floor plan refuses to be rectangular. Send La Mercanti your layout and you will get back a Z2 composition drawn around the actual walls, not an idealised ones.

FAQ

Can the two-tone composition mix different materials, not just different colours?
Yes. The bicolour approach declared by Quadrifoglio pairs melamine with matt lacquer, or either of them with the regenerated-leather shelf, in one composition. The structure stays identical; only the surfaces change.
How is the LED strip fitted on site?
It arrives as a flexible circuit with 240 LEDs per metre, self-adhesive, applied to the underside of the shelf panel. It can be cut or bent without losing function, and its switch is fitted to the vertical panel during installation.
What do the levelling feet actually compensate for?
Two ranges are declared: up to 12 mm under the metal legs and up to 15 mm under the modules. That is enough to keep the counter true on uneven screeds or old stone floors without shimming.
Is there anything recycled in the panels themselves?
Yes — Quadrifoglio states the Z2 panels are made entirely of 100 % recycled wood, with low formaldehyde emission certified under the CATAS Quality Award CARB scheme, and resins free of SVHC substances.
We may need to extend the counter next year. Does the system allow it?
It does: Z2 is built from repeating modules 100 to 160 cm wide with shared legs and side panels, so a composition can grow by adding modules and a closing side, keeping the same height and finishes.

How to plan a Z2 reception from your floor plan

Five steps to turn a real, imperfect floor plan into a Z2 composition that fits it — corners included.

Trace the visitor's first line
Mark the straight line from the entrance door to where eyes land first. The counter's front should sit on that line; everything else follows from it.
Let the walls decide the shape
If the lobby is deep, a straight run works. If it wraps around a pillar or a corner, use terminal and intermediate corner modules rather than forcing a straight counter into a bent space.
Pick module widths before totals
Compositions are built from 100, 120, 140 and 160 cm modules. Choose the rhythm first, then check the total against the eight catalogue configurations, from 126 to 492 cm.
Reserve the lowered section
Decide early which end takes the lowered accessible module, so its side panel runs in continuity with the linear modules and the finish stays unbroken.
Walk the plan at counter height
Before ordering, check sight lines at 113 cm — the counter's height — from both sides: the visitor approaching and the person working behind it. Adjust module order if either view fails.
