Open the DVO price list at the Qubo chapter and one entry in the English column catches the eye: «straight reception unit with DDA top». The acronym is British, the product is from Pordenone. It names the module built for a seated visitor or a wheelchair user, 100 or 140 cm wide (39.4 or 55.1 in), 115 cm deep (45.3 in) and 74 cm high (29.1 in), with its own end panels. Whether a given lobby meets the Equality Act is a matter for the designer; what the manufacturer has done is give the module a name a UK specifier recognises at a glance.

Around it, Qubo is a plain system of reception desks designed by Antonio Morello — the hand behind DVO's Planeta desk —: straight modules in six widths, 86 to 206 cm (33.9 to 81.1 in), 84 cm deep (33.1 in) and 112.5 cm high (44.3 in), a two-way 90° corner, right- or left-hand 90° end modules and six pre-set compositions with a single order code. Worktops are melamine, 25 mm (1 in) thick and edged in 2 mm (0.08 in) ABS; vertical panels are 25 mm, the counter top 18 mm (0.7 in). Options: a welcome top on modules from 120 cm (47.2 in), an anodised aluminium plinth, an LED bar under the top with a touch dimmer, sheet-steel cable ducts. Eleven melamine finishes plus a gloss white laminate for the top, and an 8-year warranty stated by DVO.

La Mercanti draws the Qubo layout with the accessible module placed where the approach route actually arrives, and marks on the plan which side the end panels go, so the order carries no left-or-right guesswork. The same series serves offices, hotel lobbies and other reception areas: the modules change, the system does not.

FAQ

How many pre-set compositions of Qubo are there?
Six, numbered 1 to 6, each under one order code that already includes modules, end panels and tops. Composition 1 is the single straight module from 86 to 206 cm (33.9 to 81.1 in); composition 3 is specified right or left; composition 5 has interchangeable sides and reaches 487 cm (191.7 in). Outside the six, Qubo is composed module by module.
Which finishes does Qubo come in?
Tops, panels and counter tops share the same cards: six M1 melamines (white, light grey, light oak, natural oak, walnut, dark oak) and five M2 soft-touch melamines (matt white, taupe, graphite, matt green, matt black). The counter top is also available in gloss white laminate with a two-colour white/aluminium edge. The 206 cm (81.1 in) module is not offered in walnut or dark oak.
What does the welcome top add to a Qubo counter?
A second top, 32.5 cm (12.8 in) deep, on modules of 120, 140 or 160 cm (47.2, 55.1 or 63 in), in the same finish as the desk or in a contrasting one, including umber, which exists only for this element. An LED bar with its own power supply can be fitted under it as an option.
Can the Qubo corner module close a run?
No. The 90° corner module, 84 cm (33.1 in) wide, is a two-way element that the DVO price list marks as not usable as an end. To close a composition at a corner you order the 90° end module, 84 × 85 cm (33.1 × 33.5 in), right- or left-hand.
How long is the warranty on Qubo?
DVO Office states an 8-year warranty on the Qubo sheet. With the order, La Mercanti supplies the reference documents, including the certifications the manufacturer declares: CAM/GPP, GREENGUARD UL 2818, CARB Phase 2, FSC C109826 and UNI EN 15372:2023.

How to choose the finishes of Qubo from samples

Eleven melamines and a gloss laminate look alike on a screen: how to get the Qubo by DVO Office finish samples into the client's hands before the order is placed.

Ask La Mercanti for the two Qubo cards
Request the M1 melamine samples (woods and plain colours) and the M2 soft-touch samples of Qubo, plus the gloss white laminate chip for the counter top.
Match panels and tops separately
Lay the samples as the desk is built: a vertical panel finish, a worktop finish and a counter-top finish, since Qubo allows each element its own card.
Check the 206 cm module against the sample
If the run includes the widest Qubo module, exclude walnut and dark oak from the shortlist: the price list does not offer them at that width.
Test the welcome top in contrast
Place the umber chip next to the chosen desk finish; on Qubo the welcome top can match or contrast, and umber exists only there.
Return the shortlist to La Mercanti
Send the codes back with the plan; La Mercanti confirms the combination on the Qubo order and credits the sample cost against the order.
