Most modern executive ranges give you three sizes and two finishes. Larus is built the other way round: legs, tops and brackets are combined in the most varied versions, producing more than 200 combinations. The point is not the number itself but what it implies — the collection is a grammar rather than a catalogue page, and two directors on the same floor can have visibly different desks that still belong together.

Tops come in natural walnut, oak and dark oak or in glass, extra-clear or lacquered; the "gull-wing" leg that carries them is the collection's defining element. Around it sit extensions, pedestals, service units, coffee tables, meeting tables and bookcases. Designed by Studio Stramigioli Associati in 2017 and supplied internationally by La Mercanti, drawings first.

FAQ

What exactly can be combined?
Legs, tops and brackets, in the most varied versions, which is where the figure of more than 200 combinations comes from. In practice it means a floor can be furnished with one collection while giving each room its own character, instead of repeating the same desk twelve times.
Are all combinations available everywhere?
The number describes the system's flexibility; which specific combinations are current is confirmed on the manufacturer's documentation before an order. That check belongs at specification stage, not after.
What is the gull-wing leg?
It is the architecture that defines the collection: a leg whose profile recalls an open wing, presented by the manufacturer as the innovative element and as a fusion between aesthetics and functionality.
Does the collection cover more than desks?
Yes: extensions, service unit, pedestals, coffee tables, meeting tables and bookcases, all conceived to organise the office within the same design.
How are cables handled?
Through a hole in the desk top, then channelled to the ground with clips or with vertical and horizontal vertebrae. It is part of the declared configuration.

How to configure a desk system across a floor

Five steps when the collection is a grammar, not a single model.

Decide what stays constant
One element repeated across rooms is what holds a floor together.
Decide what varies
Tops and finishes can differ where the leg does not.
Draw each room before choosing
A configurable system rewards a plan and punishes improvisation.
Confirm the combinations
Availability is verified on the manufacturer's current documentation.
Request drawings and samples
La Mercanti supplies both before the specification closes.
