Stacking belongs to canteen chairs — until you read the Valea data sheet. The Cantilever version of ICF's upholstered executive collection stacks up to six units, and each added chair raises the pile by just 30 mm (1.2 in). A boardroom that seats forty for the quarterly review and twelve for the rest of the year stops being a storage problem: the spare chairs disappear into a corner, upholstery, steel frame and all.

Behind the trick stands a complete collection in two families. Valea Chair dresses its cold-foamed polyurethane in a ribbed cover of fabric or leather, in three designs plus the cantilever; Valea Soft adds a padded cushion over the whole surface for executive rooms. Backs come low, high or with headrest on the .8 series, on four- or five-star aluminium bases, in six metal finishes. La Mercanti specifies the collection for offices that live in cycles — board days, training days, quiet days — and delivers the whole wardrobe in one order.

FAQ

How much floor space does each Valea need?
Count 61 cm (24 in) per chair with armrests, 52 cm (20.5 in) without. Depth runs from 51 cm on the Elle design to 47 cm on the Esse and down to 44 cm on the Esse Soft — the slimmer profiles buy an extra row in tight meeting rooms.
What does the .8 series add?
The headrest: ICF's product page and user manual list low back, high back and headrest versions, and the .8 model codes carry the third option. Total heights in the collection reach 133 cm (52.4 in).
Does the low Lounge version adjust in height?
No — by design. The Lounge sits at a fixed 41 cm (16.1 in), swivels multidirectionally without a gas column and rests on a four-star base with glides: a conversation chair, not a task chair.
Which fabric gives the widest colour choice?
Atlantic, in category B, with 17 colours including gold, copper and petrol blue; Tonal and Cura follow with 15 each. The leather card counts 15 colours in full-grain bovine hide of 1.2–1.4 mm.
What happens at the end of the chair's life?
Both families weigh around 15.4–15.8 kg (34–34.8 lb) and are approx. 93% recyclable when the components are fully and correctly separated — and every component is designed to be dismantled for repair, reuse or recycling.

Planning a Valea meeting suite room by room

Five steps assign the right Valea to every room of an executive floor, from the waiting corner to the boardroom.

List the rooms by role
Reception, meeting rooms, private offices and the board suite each call for a different member of the Valea collection — write the list before choosing models.
Give visitors the flexing frame
The visitor version on the steel tube base suits meeting and conference rows, and its spares tuck away between sessions.
Reserve the padded family for long rooms
Where meetings run past the hour, the Valea Soft versions with their overlaid padding earn their place at the head of the table.
Keep one finish code throughout
Polished, chromed, white, black, bronze or silk grey: one code for structures, bases and armrests keeps the floor reading as one project.
Order the fabric by room, not by chair
One upholstery card serves the whole collection, so each room can take its own colour while the floor stays in a single palette.
