Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Most price lists stop at finishes. The one for X12 also names the plug: power cords come in type C, type G and type A, so the desk that reaches a London office arrives ready for the wall socket it will actually meet. It is a small line of print, and it says a lot about how Quadrifoglio writes its technical sheets — design by Dorigo Design, engineering spelled out to the last connector.

X12 is an executive desk that adjusts in height from 76 to 125 cm (30 to 49 in), with three top widths and four different builds: two legs, a leg with a monolith on either side, or a return unit on three lifting columns. Tops come veneered in grey elm, American walnut or striped ebony, or with a stitched leather inlay; legs and monolith take a matt lacquer in a wide palette. A service cupboard and a drawer unit keep the paperwork close.

La Mercanti ships X12 across the UK and worldwide, and checks every order line — cord included — before it leaves Italy.

FAQ

How many builds does the X12 come in?
Four: a freestanding desk on two legs, two versions with one leg and a lacquered monolith on the right or the left, and compositions with a return top carried by three lifting columns. All share the same tops and finishes.
Which meeting tables match the X12?
The price list itself names them: the X10 and E10 meeting tables from the same executive range can be ordered alongside, so desk and meeting area share woods and lacquers.
Who designed the X12?
Dorigo Design, the studio credited in the 2026 executive catalogue, which also signs the X10 table — the two pieces are conceived to live in the same room.
What closes the short sides of the top?
A 50 mm brushed and polished aluminium profile runs along the head sides of every top, protecting the edge where chairs and trolleys pass most often.
How precisely can the cupboard doors be aligned?
The service cupboard hangs on hinges adjustable in height, width and depth, so the push-pull fronts stay perfectly flush year after year.

How to measure a room for the X12 desk

Five checks to take with a tape measure before choosing the width and build of an X12 executive desk.

Map the walking lines
Mark doors and walkways, then keep at least 120 cm behind the X12 for the chair and 80 cm on the guest side.
Choose among three widths
The X12 tops measure 180.8, 200.8 or 220.8 cm by 100 cm deep: tape the footprint on the floor and sit inside it.
Allow for the travel
The top rises to 125 cm: check shelves, sills and wall lights so nothing crosses the space above the X12.
Decide the storage side
If you add the return or the cupboard, the X12 grows sideways: measure which side of the room can give up that metre.
Check the floor line
Old parquet and skirting boards are rarely level: the feet of the X12 compensate up to 12 mm, but note where the slope runs.
