The British know what a frame does to a picture: it declares that what sits inside matters. Arche by Bralco applies the same logic to the executive desk — the top is bordered by a mitred perimeter frame, corners joined like a gallery moulding, so the work surface reads as something worth framing. On portal legs of veneered solid wood — a 12×4 cm section tapering to a slender 1.8 — the whole desk stands like a piece hung at eye level.
Gianantonio Perin and Giorgio Topan drew the rest with the same editorial eye. A sliding leather pad glides open on nylon guides to reveal a concealed, electrifiable tray in the top — the phone can charge out of sight, beside keys, cables and papers mid-signature — and closes with one gesture. Front screens come in three heights, solid or louvred, deciding how much of the desk a visitor gets to see. Bralco calls it «a clever game of contrasts»; dark oak against pale lacquer, back-lacquered glass against timber, timber against steel.
The collection carries the frame across the whole floor: sideboards at 74 cm on feet, wardrobes to 270 cm, and a family of meeting tables from a ø 120 round to a 480 cm top seating eighteen — each distinguished by a leather insert set into the surface. Nine oak finishes include two lacquers exclusive to Arche, titanium and dove grey. La Mercanti configures the set to the project and coordinates delivery wherever the boardroom hangs its art.
