Trade terms for professionals and design studios

Most offices are furnished in instalments: one supplier for the executive floor, another for the open space, a third for the front desk. Sant'Andrea answers with a single grammar — the crossed aluminium legs — declined across executive desks, operative singles, benches, meeting tables, stools, side tables, standing-height Banko and receptions, linear, L- or C-shaped, even with leather shields. Estel calls it a family with no dimensional limits.

For the manager's room, that grammar dresses up: Eucalyptus tops edged in solid walnut, SUPER MATT lacquer as standard, ceramics or clear glass, service cabinets and cupboards to match — all designed by Estel's in-house R&D in Thiene.

La Mercanti specifies executive desks and whole floors across Europe: send us the plans and we return one coherent Sant'Andrea specification, confirmed in writing by the manufacturer.

FAQ

Which metal finishes can the structure take?
Black lacquer or the std metal palette: Platinum, Bronze, Pewter, Copper, plus White Lily and matt Black — the crossed legs can whisper or gleam, depending on the room.
What is the Eucalyptus top exactly?
A veneered top in Eucalyptus finished with a solid walnut edge — two woods on one surface, the veneer for the face and the solid timber where hands and chairs actually touch.
How big do the operative benches get?
Two, four or six seats — 140, 280 or 420 × 160 cm — with an accessory bar, top access and fabric screens 51 cm high on front and sides.
Is the system genuinely recyclable?
Estel states it plainly: the family is made of wood and aluminium that can be completely recycled — two materials, both with an afterlife.
Can we see finishes before ordering?
Yes — La Mercanti provides the Estel samples of veneers, lacquers, metals and ceramics; the sampling cost is fully credited on order confirmation.

How to choose between Banko and a seated meeting table

Fast meetings and board meetings need different furniture: five checks to split the two correctly.

Time your meetings honestly
Sessions under twenty minutes thrive standing at 105 cm; longer ones deserve a seated table.
Count the participants
Banko formats serve small huddles; the oval and rectangular tables scale to the full leadership team.
Check the room's traffic
Standing tables work best where people pass by — near the executive corridor, not behind closed doors.
Plan power at both heights
Banko tables are electrifiable too; decide sockets before the electrician leaves the floor.
Mix them deliberately
Many floors take both — La Mercanti maps which room gets which, confirmed with Estel in writing.
