Ask anyone who has chaired a meeting with visitors from three countries how it began: with somebody hunting for an adapter. The power boxes in Master answer that before it happens. Alongside the Schuko socket each one carries two universal sockets, the type that accepts British, American, European and Asian plugs without an intermediary. A guest sits down, opens a laptop and works.

The same box adds two USB ports of type A and C, a 3.5 audio jack, one HDMI and two RJ45, and it repeats eight times along a conference table top of 514 by 177 cm at 73 cm high. That top comes in saddle leather with a wood centre and edges, or in wood with a saddle leather centre and edges; standard veneer is grey stained veined black walnut. Designed by Umberto Asnago in 2019, Master reaches international boardrooms through La Mercanti, drawings supplied before anything is committed.

What does a universal socket accept?
It is designed to take plugs of different national standards without an adapter, which is why it sits next to the Schuko socket rather than replacing it. In a room that receives visitors from several countries in the same week, that is the difference between starting on time and starting after a search through a drawer.
Are the sockets the same in every box?
Yes. The set repeats identically eight times: two universal sockets, one Schuko, two USB of type A and C, a 3.5 audio jack, one HDMI and two RJ45. No position is better equipped than another.
Do the boxes stay visible when unused?
They open and close flush into the top, so a table laid for a presentation shows an uninterrupted surface. It matters on a top whose centre band is a designed element rather than a neutral area.
Where does the power come from?
Through the base, which the manufacturer supplies already prepared for cable routing. The floor outlet should therefore be positioned under the base footprint at design stage, not after the screed is poured.
Which finishes are standard?
Grey stained veined black walnut as veneer, with saddle leather on the covered surfaces. Other finishes exist on request and are confirmed on the manufacturer's documentation before entering a specification.
