Every movable wall has one panel that matters more than the others: the one that goes in last. On PMI it is the TC telescopic element, and Anaunia gives it a job the standard modules do not have. Besides the 25 mm (1 in) expanding borders top and bottom, it pushes out a side compensating buffer of 100 mm on a single track or 150 mm on a double track (3.9 to 5.9 in), along the whole height of the element, with a 1500 N spring-loaded thrust. That is what turns a row of panels into a sealed wall: the gap between the final jamb and the last module is closed by the module itself, not by a strip of trim.

The rest of the system follows the same logic. PMI movable walls are independent sound-insulated elements, 700–1200 mm (27.6–47.2 in) wide, hung from a ceiling-only guide, available in nine acoustic grades from A360 to A580 and approved in reaction-to-fire class 1; an EI 60 fire-resistant version exists on project, and the manufacturer lists the naval sector among its fields of use, with marine approvals confirmed project by project.

Anaunia also makes the lightweight PML, the glazed PMIV and PMC, the thermally broken PMITT for outdoor use and the back-lit SHINE; La Mercanti draws them onto your floor plan and returns one specification for the whole room.

FAQ

Can a solid PMI wall have a window in it?
Yes: the SF element carries a glazed opening within the panel, keeping at least 200 mm from the top and 300 mm from the sides, so a closed training room can still borrow daylight from the hall next door.
Which fire classification does a PMI wall carry as standard?
The walls are approved in reaction-to-fire class 1 by the Italian Ministry of the Interior, with class 0 available on request, and the chipboard covering panels are CE marked in class B-s1,d0.
Is leather or carpet a realistic finish on a movable wall?
Anaunia lists leather, fabric and carpet alongside CPL, HPL, veneer and RAL lacquer, and accepts a covering supplied by the client; each face of the wall can take a different finish.
What happens when the building settles and the wall goes out of line?
Each element is height-adjustable without removing the false ceiling, and the adjustment is independent of the supporting bolt, so the wall stays aligned over the years without opening the soffit.
Is a swatch of the laminate or veneer available before ordering?
La Mercanti sends laminate, veneer and fabric samples; their cost is credited in full when the order is confirmed.

How to assemble the order documentation for a PMI wall

The five documents that must sit in the file before a PMI movable wall by Anaunia goes into production, and who produces each one.

Collect the survey drawing
Anaunia includes an executive site survey with the PMI supply: the measured drawing is the first sheet of the file and every other document refers to it.
Add the acoustic and fire certificates
File the laboratory test certificate for the chosen PMI grade and the class 1 fire approval; both are downloadable from this article page.
Include the structural report where needed
If the guide hangs from a lattice beam or a lowered structure, the calculation report signed by an authorised engineer belongs in the file.
Attach the finish schedule
One line per face and per element: laminate, veneer or fabric codes, plus any covering you supply yourselves for the PMI panels.
Keep the DWG set with the order
The PMI wall drawings in DWG format complete the file; La Mercanti checks the set against the survey before the order is confirmed in writing.
