Put a tape under a Rizz table and the drawing explains itself. A top 100 cm (39 3/8 in) deep stands on feet 81 cm (31 7/8 in) apart; a 200 cm (78 3/4 in) top rests on legs set 156 cm (61 3/8 in) from each other, 22 cm (8 5/8 in) inside each end. The curve of each die-cast aluminium leg, Pedrali writes, is directed towards the centre of the top so as to make room for the chairs. Robin Rizzini drew that curve once and the whole family keeps it: knees, castors and the chair beside you all have a number to check against, before the first delivery.

The same geometry carries five fixed conference tables from two metres to 3.4 m long (78 3/4 to 133 7/8 in), the Rizz Office versions with CC60 channel or CCO cable box, the Rizz Workstation for two, four or eight with acoustic panels and the K_LUCE light bridge, and an outdoor table on the same legs. Tops come in solid laminate, anti-fingerprint Fenix or composite marble; frames powder coated or polished. In UK offices where a bench and a boardroom table should share one line, La Mercanti starts from the chairs already on site: it writes their width against the 156 cm (61 3/8 in) between the legs and confirms, table by table, how many sit along each side.

FAQ

Which K_LUCE kit goes with which Rizz Workstation?
Two kits, sized to the top: K_LUCE_LA139, 139 × 72 cm (54 3/4 × 28 3/8 in), is for the 180 × 150 two-seater only; K_LUCE_LB272, 272 × 72 cm (107 1/8 × 28 3/8 in), is for the 320 and the 600, and the 600 can carry one or two of them. The Workstation is ordered pre-arranged for the kit, with the 100 W driver supplied on request.
What does anti-fingerprint mean on the Fenix tops?
Five Fenix colours (0719, 0791, 0789, 0792, 0773) are marked anti-fingerprint on the Pedrali sheet and come with a core in the same colour, so the edge of the 10 mm (3/8 in) top does not show a contrasting line. Pedrali's care notes allow diluted denatured alcohol and ammonia on Fenix, which is not the case for the solid laminate tops.
When does the Rizz table get a central column?
From 340 × 110 cm (133 7/8 × 43 1/4 in) upwards on the fixed and Rizz Office tables, so on the 340, 470 and 600, and on the 320 and 600 Workstations. It is a rectangular steel column with rounded corners, powder coated even when the rest of the frame is polished, and it doubles as the cable riser.
Does an outdoor Rizz survive a covered terrace or a boat?
Pedrali lists Rizz among the products guaranteed for external use, in the outdoor version with E-suffix frame codes and exterior laminate. Its price list also spells out that verandas, pools, spas, ships and seaside locations count as outdoors even without direct sun or rain, and that the table should be stored under cover when not in use.
How does a Rizz table arrive on site?
Disassembled, in a single box, packed in 100% FSC recycled cardboard. The box weighs from 46.8 kg (103 lb) for the 200 × 100 laminate table to 228.1 kg (503 lb) for the eight-seat Workstation, and Pedrali's guarantee asks that assembly be done by qualified technicians.

How to try a Rizz table before you order it

Five things to check on a Rizz table in the showroom, so that the order for an office workstation or a meeting table is written on what you have touched, not on a photograph.

Look at the edge of the top
On a Rizz sample, turn the top on its side: a white, brown or black core means solid laminate, a core in the same colour as the surface means Fenix. That line is what you will see every day at desk height.
Run a hand over the Fenix
Press a finger on the Fenix top of the Rizz and watch how little it marks; Pedrali calls the five colours anti-fingerprint. Do the same on the laminate and decide which surface your office can keep clean.
Open the channel
Lift the CC60 cover on the Rizz Office sample and put a laptop charger inside the black steel channel; close it again and see whether the top reads as one piece. On the CCO version, open the smaller box instead.
Switch the light through its four levels
If the showroom has a Rizz Workstation with the K_LUCE bridge, touch the sensor on the side of the LED four times: you will see the four intensities and the warm 3000 K colour before deciding whether the kit is worth its space.
Write down the codes you touched
La Mercanti notes the top code, the frame code and the channel type on the showroom visit sheet for each Rizz you tried, and turns that sheet into the order so nothing is chosen from a screen.
