Open offices abolished walls, then doors, then locks — and some conversations never forgave them. Framery Four brings the last one back: an optional smart lock with multiple entry methods turns the meeting pod into a room that actually locks, whether it holds a board pack, a prototype or simply a conversation that must not wander. Combined with walk-in booking and the exterior tablet mount, it behaves like a proper meeting room — key included.

The room itself seats up to 4 people on two facing sofas rated at 408 kg each, around a birch table with an embedded 8-inch touchscreen. Speech drops by 30 dB in Class A under ISO 23351-1, ventilation reaches 100 litres per second with sensors that count occupants, and the built-in sound masking calms the office outside. La Mercanti specifies it for UK projects where confidentiality is not a policy but a piece of furniture.

FAQ

How does the smart lock on Framery Four work?
It is an optional lock with multiple entry methods, so access can be limited to the people who should have it. In practice it turns the pod into the one meeting room in the open office that genuinely locks — for sensitive conversations, valuable equipment or both.
How many people fit inside comfortably?
Up to four, on two facing sofas designed for comfortable seating and rated at 408 kg each. The birch table between them measures 70.6 by 90 cm, with under-table power outlets and the touchscreen embedded in the tabletop.
Can a screen be added for hybrid meetings?
Yes — an optional rotating monitor arm slots directly into the table leg and carries a 24 to 27 inch display up to 15 kg on VESA 75 or 100 fittings. Optional in-table HDMI and LAN ports complete the hybrid setup; the monitor itself is not included.
What keeps the air fresh with four people inside?
Ventilation up to 100 litres per second — 78 in normal use — driven by sensors that detect how many people are present along with temperature and humidity. Airflow direction is adjustable between direct and indirect, and the pod refreshes itself after every meeting.
Which versions of Framery Four exist?
Base, an empty shell for custom furnishing; Lite, with the table and both sofas; Essentials, adding coat hooks, cushions and two 65 W USB-C ports; and Accessible, with folding furniture and a T-shaped turning space, designed to ADA standards as declared by the manufacturer. Delivery times are confirmed in writing at order confirmation.

How to give confidential meetings a home

Five steps to deploy Framery Four where privacy needs more than a booking rule.

Name the conversations first
List the meetings that should never happen at a desk — reviews, negotiations, HR — and size the fleet on that, not on headcount.
Add the lock where it earns it
Fit the smart lock on the pod nearest sensitive teams; an unlocked pod elsewhere keeps everyday meetings friction-free.
Wire it like a meeting room
In-table HDMI, LAN and the rotating 27-inch arm make hybrid calls native — book the options with the pod, not after.
Trust the masking outside
The built-in sound masking blurs speech within five metres of the pod: the confidential zone extends beyond the glass.
Let occupancy data size pod two
Framery Connect shows when and how often the room is used — the case for the next one arrives as a chart, not a hunch.
