Trade terms for professionals and design studios

Most collections ask you to choose between the boardroom and the open plan. Martex wrote the same drawing twice instead: Otto+ is the prestigious register, with generous volumes, slim-profile veneered tops and cable runs hidden inside the leg; Otto keeps the identical design language in an essential, versatile build for managers and teams. Same curves, same proportions, two levels of finish - so a firm can furnish the partner's room and the project floor without changing vocabulary.

Both registers stay in motion: desks and meeting tables are available height-adjustable, benches seat two to six around shaped tops, and storage - from the Master Round service unit to the lacquered cabinets - carries the same rounded grammar. Tops come in melamine, Fenix®, oak veneers or matt lacquer; screens are upholstered in fabrics by Gabriel, Kvadrat and Vescom.

La Mercanti helps you decide where each register belongs: send us the floor plan and the roles it hosts, and the reply maps Otto and Otto+ room by room, with samples of both.

FAQ

How many people can one bench composition seat?
Two, four or six workstations on a single frame: two-seat benches run from 1400 to 2000 mm in width, four seats from 2800 to 4000 mm, six seats from 4200 to 6000 mm, all 1624 mm deep. Shaped tops make the larger compositions read as one continuous surface rather than a row of desks.
Can a meeting be held standing at the Otto table?
Yes - the meeting system is available height-adjustable, so the chair decides the format: set the top low for a seated review or raise it and keep the room on its feet. Tops come square, rounded or shaped, on T, Square or Round legs.
Which fabric houses supply the screen upholstery?
The declared range names FIDIVI (Time, Jet), Gabriel (Cura, Focus Melange, Capture), Kvadrat (Revive1) and Vescom (Acton). Each screen can be specified in a different colour per team or floor, and La Mercanti sends physical swatches before you commit an order.
Which cable routes does the price list resolve before delivery?
Every one from floor to top: the electrified leg and a closed cable tray belong to the standard build, and the list then adds an open tray, an aluminium Type C port, a Type Y flap finished like the top, a fabric riser and a vertebra - the wiring plan is settled before the desk reaches site.
What happens between the quotation and the delivery to our office?
Once the configuration is agreed, La Mercanti confirms every delivery date in writing at order confirmation and coordinates transport and installation with one contact for the whole project, from the first sample to the assembled floor.

How to write Otto into a fit-out specification

A short path for specifiers who need the Otto collection by Martex to survive the tender table: codes, geometry and cable routes named precisely enough that the bid you receive is the desk you chose.

List every element by code
Open the schedule with each Otto element by Martex - desk, bench, meeting table, storage - identified by catalogue code and size, before any conversation about colours.
Fix the geometry
Write the corner treatment - square or 80 mm radius - and the leg family (T, Square, Round) into the schedule, so every Otto element repeats the same grammar.
Schedule the finishes
Quote finish codes, not adjectives: melamine, Fenix, oak veneer or matt lacquer. Codes survive procurement; moodboards do not.
Resolve the power
Specify the electrified leg, the tray type and the port for each workstation family, and note which desks are height-adjustable.
Close with the storage line
Assign Jolly, Master Square or Master Round to each station and the sideboards to the executive rooms, then send the package to La Mercanti for a written configuration check.
