Vincent Van Duysen designs against the trend cycle, on purpose

Most design careers ride waves. Vincent Van Duysen built his — from Antwerp, since 1989 — on the opposite bet: an aesthetic that deliberately avoids fleeting trends. Pure, tactile materials, respect for context and tradition, spaces judged on durability and comfort rather than novelty. The bet paid: creative director of Molteni&C since 2016, collaborations with B&B Italia, Flos and Zanotta, an EDIDA as Best Interior Designer, and 90% of the studio's projects abroad.

Through La Mercanti, that patience lands on the surfaces a workplace touches daily: the stoneware he signs for Mutina and the Fantini taps he designs — specified on sample, made to outlast the refit that bought them.
