Turn over almost any executive chair and you meet a black plastic box bolted beneath the seat. On the executive Nordic, Milani offers a different answer: the synchronised mechanism can be integrated into the shell itself, so the underside stays as clean as the profile that Baldanzi & Novelli drew. Nothing hangs, nothing interrupts the curve.

The engineering does not thin out because it is hidden. A steel rod runs inside the backrest; the seat insert is rigid structural cold foam at 70 kg/m³ with the armrests formed in the same piece; the padding above is a second, softer foam. Both layers are declared fire-retardant, and the chair carries class 1IM homologation.

From the covering card to the confirmed order, La Mercanti runs the specification with Milani and returns configuration and dates in writing.

FAQ

Where is the tilt mechanism housed?
On the executive model it can be integrated into the shell, leaving the underside clean; the alternative is a synchronised unit with a side handwheel and four locking positions.
How many locking positions are there?
Three on the shell-integrated version, four on the version adjusted by the side handwheel. Both are self-weighing and include an antishock function.
What is inside the seat?
A rigid structural insert in cold-foamed polyurethane at 70 kg/m³, with the armrests formed as part of it, under a softer 60-65 kg/m³ layer.
Does the chair arrive assembled?
Yes — Milani lists it as fully assembled, boxed at 0.61 m³ whichever model you order.
Which castor sets are available?
Self-braking black polypropylene, rubberised, perforated rubberised, or free-running chromed castors; chromed metal and black nylon glides replace them where the chair should not roll.

How to compare two synchronised mechanisms before ordering

Both versions tilt with your weight. Five checks that tell them apart in practice.

Ask where the block sits
Under the seat, or inside the shell — it changes the silhouette more than the specification.
Count the locking positions
Three or four: more stops means finer control over how far the back opens.
Find the adjustment you will use
A side handwheel is easier to reach mid-call than a lever underneath.
Test the return
The antishock function governs how the backrest comes back when you release it.
Record the choice on the order
La Mercanti writes the mechanism code into the confirmation issued by Milani.
