Let's discuss your project

Bespoke: size, colour, finish

Most taps are symmetrical because nobody questioned it. Opus, drawn for Cea Design by the Belgian architect Bruno Erpicum, questions it: the spouts are installed in line with the handles and aligned to the lower edge of the control, giving the collection a deliberately asymmetric appearance. It is a composition rule rather than a flourish — once you notice it, you recognise Opus across an entire bathroom.

The rest of the project follows the same rigour. Two cylinders do all the work: a 60 mm (2.36 in) grip governs the temperature, an 18 mm (0.71 in) line carries the water. No rosettes, no joystick, one material — AISI 316L stainless steel, satin or polished, with Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper and Light Gold as special finishes. Progressive, dual-handle and thermostatic versions cover washbasin, shower, bath and remote controls, down to the matching accessories.

La Mercanti supplies Opus internationally and helps architects and private clients turn that composition rule into an ordered list — configurations, finishes and quantities checked on the drawings.

FAQ

Which mixing versions does the collection offer?
Three: progressive, dual handle and thermostatic. The same essential drawing runs through all of them, so the choice of mechanics never changes the look of the room.
What finishes can be specified?
Satin and polished stainless steel as standard, plus the special finishes Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper and Light Gold, which the manufacturer declares ecological and biocompatible.
Are there matching accessories?
Yes — a dedicated Opus accessories collection, including the OPUS 100 clothes hook and the OPUS 102 roll holder in stainless steel, so the smallest objects on the wall speak the same language as the taps.
What are the two cylinders for?
One is the grip: 60 mm (2.36 in) in diameter, sized for the hand, controlling the temperature. The other, just 18 mm (0.71 in), carries the water. Between them there is nothing else.
Does Opus suit office and hospitality projects?
Yes: washbasin, shower, bath, remote controls and accessories come from one collection, so a representative washroom or a series of hotel bathrooms can be specified as a single coherent decision.

How to choose the Opus washbasin format

Wall-mounted, two-hole or three-hole: five steps to match the basin zone to the right reference.

Read the basin first
Countertop bowl, integrated top or semi-recessed basin: the format of the basin decides where Opus can deliver the water from.
Wall-mounted for a clear top
The progressive wall mixers OPS04 to OPS07 and the dual-handle OPS08 to OPS10 keep the counter empty and the cleaning simple.
Two holes on the deck
OPS01 and OPS12 bring a progressive mixer with swivelling spout onto the top — two holes, one gesture.
Three holes for composition
OPS02, OPS03 and OPS13 to OPS16 separate spout and handles on the deck; the wall spouts OPS40 to OPS43 free the layout further.
Check it against the drawing
Fix heights and axes with mirror and vanity, then have the Opus references confirmed position by position before ordering.
