Every tap descends from the same ancestor: the hydraulic valve of the early twentieth century, all function and no manners. Lutezia by Cea Design goes back to that ancestor deliberately — the manufacturer declares the collection a contemporary interpretation of that traditional valve — and rereads it with soft, rounded lines that bring ergonomics and lightness to a form the industrial age never bothered to refine.
The rereading carries a signature: Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the French architect and member of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, who designed the collection for the Renaissance of Hotel Lutetia, the sole luxury grand palace on Paris's Left Bank. The material — beside designer ceramics of any period — is thoroughly modern: AISI 316L stainless steel, satin or polished, plus the four CEA special finishes — Black Diamond, Bronze, Copper and Light Gold — declared ecological and biocompatible.
The range covers the whole bathroom: wall-mounted dual handle taps in four versions and three-hole sets with swivel spout for washbasin and bidet, thermostatic shower sets with shut-off valves or two-way diverter, three routes to the bathtub — dual handle set, rim-mounted groups, free-standing column — a wide family of remote controls, a coordinated accessories collection, and the Lutezia Plus extension with its single-handle mixer.
