Among the awards Nuur collected in 2010 there is one that reads differently on this side of the Channel: the Design Guild Mark, granted by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers of England to furniture of outstanding design. It sits alongside a Design Week Award from the same year — two British verdicts on a meeting table drawn by Simon Pengelly and produced in Italy by Arper. What they recognised is a principle rather than a shape: a universal system of four corner legs, four rails and a top, at 74 cm of height, in square, rectangular and office versions. Tops come in Fenix® laminate — white, black or grey — with new wooden tops added in the 2024 update, on an aluminium frame in matt white or matt black. What tops are available for the Nuur table?
Fenix® laminate in white, black or grey, plus the new wooden tops introduced with the 2024 update. The frame is powder-coated aluminium in matt white or matt black.
How does the Office version handle cables?
Its rectangular top comes with two openings that take either a cable grommet or a grommet cover, so the same top works with or without cables running through it. Combs, cable trays and modesty panels complete the layout.
Which venues does the producer declare it for?
Under EN 15372 the collection covers level 1 light use (hotel bedrooms, churches, libraries), level 2 general (hotels, bars, restaurants, public halls, banks, meeting rooms) and level 3 severe (from transport terminals to barracks).
What exactly is the universal system behind it?

How is a laminate top cleaned?
With normal household detergents diluted in lukewarm water — the producer allows strong products here, as long as they are not abrasive and contain no acids or bleach. Never use synthetic or metal scourers.
