Natalino Malasorti, thirty years of plumbing before the pencil

Most designers learn form first and technology later. Natalino Malasorti did it the other way round: born in Bassano del Grappa in 1962, he spent three decades in thermo-hydraulic engineering before co-founding CEA Design with Roberta Bertacco and taking on its art direction. The taps, integrated bathroom systems and electric towel warmers he draws are engineered before they are styled — because the man styling them spent thirty years inside the pipework.
