Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, the duo who outlived their own lifetime award

In 2015 they received a Lifetime Achievement from the Designer Kitchen and Bathroom Awards — the sort of honour that usually closes a career. Then came the decade that contradicted it: Red Dot and iF in 2021, a Wallpaper* Design Award in 2023, three iF awards in 2024. Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba have run their Milan studio since 1994, designing for Poltrona Frau, Zanotta, Laufen and some seventy prize juries' worth of clients.

For i4Mariani they drew Siena — executive and home-office pieces in wood, saddle leather and lacquer — and the Sella seating family. La Mercanti fits both into executive floors: a lifetime award, still warming up.
