Doshi Levien draw inside a 19th-century furniture workshop

The studio sits on Columbia Road in east London, inside a converted nineteenth-century furniture workshop, beside the street's weekly flower market — and that neighbourhood runs through the work. Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien founded the practice in 2000, having met as students at London's Royal College of Art.

For Arper they drew the Shaal sofa, the Roopa table and the Lepal chair: a complete lounge landscape rather than three separate objects. La Mercanti brings the trio together where an office needs somewhere to sit that is not a desk.
