Most seating families stop at the dining table. Miunn keeps going: the same sinuous seat, drawn by Karri Monni in 2011, exists as a chair and as a bar stool, so it can follow a room from the meeting table to the counter — «it joins tops of different heights», says Lapalma, «serenely, as it was conceived». One design language for every level of the same interior.

The seat comes in three constructions — 3D-curved plywood in several wood finishes, rigid flame-retardant Baydur® in white or black, or fully upholstered in fabric or hide — over nine versions: four chair bases and five design bar stools, fixed at 65 or 75 cm or gas-adjustable from 53 to 78 cm. Frames go from chrome-satin steel to bleached oak, with an outdoor palette of five powder colours on the metal versions.

La Mercanti delivers Miunn worldwide and helps you match chairs and stools across one project, from sample to installed room.

FAQ

Which upholstery options does Miunn offer?
Fabrics in four price categories, hide in seven colours, Soft-leather in seventeen and Valencia eco-leather in seventy-two: the shell can be fully covered, while the wood and Baydur versions stay bare.
Miunn or LEM: which Lapalma stool should I choose?
They answer different briefs: LEM is the minimal icon with its continuous line, Miunn adds a shaped seat, a chair version and a fully upholstered option — La Mercanti can quote both so you compare them on your own project.
Which feet protect delicate floors?
Each version declares its own: polyethylene on the sled and star bases, nylon with built-in felt under the wooden legs, polypropylene with felt or plastic insert on the wire stools, and felt pads beneath the swivel bases.
How do I clean the seat day to day?
With a damp cloth or a neutral detergent diluted in water; the maker rules out alcohol, bleach, solvents and abrasives, and recommends drying wood promptly.
What are the five outdoor colours called?
Pearl, light blue, brick, olive and dove grey — a named palette of powder coatings that joins white, black and pistachio on the metal frames.

How to care for a Miunn seat over the years

Five habits from the manufacturer's own use and maintenance sheet, applied to the Miunn.

Dust before wiping
Run a soft dry cloth over the Miunn first, so grit never gets dragged across the varnish.
Use water, not chemistry
Clean the Miunn with a damp cloth or diluted neutral detergent — never alcohol, bleach or solvents.
Mind the heat
Keep the Miunn away from heat sources above 40 °C and out of persistent direct sun, which can shift wood tones.
Load it evenly
The Miunn is designed for normal seated use: avoid off-centre loads and never stand on it.
Check the feet seasonally
Glance at the Miunn's feet a couple of times a year and free them of grit picked up from the floor.
