Presented at the Triennale «with a certain scandal»: Roberto Giacomucci

Roberto Giacomucci architect and designer of the Bold58 collection for About Office

Not many CVs carry a blessing from Andrea Branzi. Writing in 2012, the design critic placed Roberto Giacomucci in the light, gently disenchanted generation he had presented — causing, in his own words, a certain scandal — at the Triennale design museum in 2007, in an exhibition that went on to travel from Barcelona to Istanbul. An architect from Ancona, Giacomucci calls himself an artisan of design: someone who gets to know the soul of a material and follows its transformation step by step, witty but concrete.

His office chapter is signed for About Office, the Ancona manufacturer whose Bold58 executive collection La Mercanti carries in its catalogue — desks specified today for boardrooms across Europe. A designer scandalous enough for a museum, concrete enough for your office.
