No manifesto, no spectacle: Inga Sempé states her research in one line — domestic objects and their industrial production. The Parisian designer, an ENSCI graduate (1993) with a Villa Medici residency behind her, has run her own studio since 2001; HAY, Ligne Roset, Cappellini, Alessi and Kvadrat put the results into series, Paris gave her its Grand Prix du Design in 2002, and Milan's Triennale staged La Casa Imperfetta around her work in 2024.
At La Mercanti she appears in the authored circle of Mutina stoneware: the domestic made durable — floors for offices that feel lived-in, in the best sense.
