At an executive desk: That’s it Executive with its fixed aluminium arms

A cold-foamed back, covered front and rear on an aluminium frame: Quinti’s That’s it Executive

Quinti

Alegre Design

Walk round behind That’s it Executive and the back looks finished from that side as well. Quinti covers it front and rear in any fabric from its collection, over polyurethane foam held by an aluminium frame that comes chromed or painted, and calls the new cold-foamed back its mark of comfort and looks. The Cesa company, based near Arezzo, says the back was drawn for highly representative rooms, the ones where visitors see a chair from every angle. Alegre Design drew it.

Within our executive office chairs it is the one cast entirely in aluminium, die-cast and left polished or painted in a Metalli Quinti colour. Its seat is cold-foamed polyurethane 5 cm (2 in) deep, stitched along both sides, shaped at the front edge, and it slides to adjust depth. A self-weighing synchron sits in the underseat and tilts seat and back in step. Overall height runs from 103 to 115 cm (40.6 to 45.3 in); the seat rises from 42 to 53 cm (16.5 to 20.9 in).

Arms set the three versions apart: none at all, fixed die-cast aluminium, or 4D in black polypropylene trimmed with aluminium. On the fixed pair, the X130PAD accessory adds two covered pads. Underneath goes the five-spoke Light or the four-spoke Leggera, both polished aluminium and both on castors. For an executive office suite, the armed chairs belong at the desk, while the armless model is the one we suggest around a boardroom table, keeping base and finish identical. La Mercanti sets the upholstered back beside the chosen fabric before anything is ordered.

FAQ

With the seat fully lowered, then fully raised, what overall height does the chair reach?

From 103 cm (40.6 in) at its lowest to 115 cm (45.3 in) at its highest. Quinti gives that overall range in its data sheet for every arm option, and the gas lift moves the seat within it.

What is the Light base on That’s it Executive?

Light is the base with five spokes, in polished aluminium and fitted with castors. Quinti offers it as the alternative to the Leggera, and either can go under any version of the chair, armed or armless.

Can padding be added to the fixed aluminium arms?

Yes. Quinti lists an accessory for exactly that, X130PAD: two fabric-covered pads sized for the aluminium arms. It goes on the order as a line of its own, beside the chair that will carry it, and suits any chair with the fixed arms.

Is there a fabric Quinti will not use on this chair?

Only one. In Quinti’s technical documentation, Crepè is the single cover marked as not available for That’s it Executive; every other fabric in the collection can be specified.

Why does Quinti build That’s it Executive so it can be taken apart?

So that nothing has to be scrapped as a single block. The chair is designed for disassembly: once separated, its parts and components can be used again, sent for recycling or recovered as energy.

Setting up That’s it Executive on delivery, from under the seat

Every adjustment on That’s it Executive is reached from below the seat. Five steps, in the order of the Quinti data sheet, to hand the chair over ready for use.

Find the levers on That’s it Executive

All the controls are built into the underseat as small levers. Start there before anything else: seat height, tilt, the lock and the depth adjustment all begin under the seat.

Bring the seat to height

The gas lift moves the seat between 42 and 53 cm (16.5 and 20.9 in) from the floor. One of the levers under the seat releases it; let it settle where the user wants it.

Slide the seat for depth

The seat always slides. Moving it forward or back changes seat depth from 48 to 56 cm (18.9 to 22.0 in), with the shaped front edge travelling along with it.

Let the synchron take the weight

The mechanism is self-weighing and dedicated to this chair. Seat and back incline together as the user leans back, through a synchron housed in the underseat itself.

Lock one of five positions

The synchronised tilt can be locked in 5 positions and carries an anti-shock system. Choose the position with the person who will use the chair, while the installer is still in the room.
