Look along the back of Acamante and you will not find a shaped backrest. What holds you upright is a pile of flat cushions, laid one on another like folded blankets on a shelf, and the arms are made the same way. Underneath runs a plain base, and that is the whole vocabulary. Elisa Ossino drew the collection for LaCividina in 2025 out of elementary shapes, squares and rectangles, and carried the reduction far enough for it to become the thing you know the sofa by.
Anyone weighing up sofas and lounge seating for a hall or a large sitting room should begin with the two ready-made sizes: a two-seater of 290 cm (114.2 in) and a three-seater of 395 cm (155.5 in). Both are 105 cm deep (41.3 in) and only 59 cm (23.2 in) high, with the seat at 38 cm (15 in). The base is gloss-lacquered in RAL 9001 ivory or RAL 7021 grey, or wrapped in the covering chosen for the cushions. Inside are solid beech, beech plywood and steel parts; LaCividina builds it in Martignacco, near Udine.
Beyond the sofa, the same pieces answer different head-counts. For one person stretched out there is the dormeuse, a chaise 210 cm long (82.7 in). For a group, the modular sofa system joins square seats of 105 × 105 cm (41.3 × 41.3 in) to left-hand and right-hand end units of 145 cm (57.1 in), with a footstool on the footprint of a seat and a lacquered low table that stands 17 cm high (6.7 in). We also place it in waiting rooms and receptions, where one run of modules does the work of several visitor and reception chairs. La Mercanti counts the cushions and the modules against the room drawing.

Elisa Ossino designed it for LaCividina in 2025. The maker presents the collection under three headings on its site, sofa, dormeuse and system, all belonging to the one project and built in Martignacco, in the province of Udine.
It measures 210 × 105 cm (82.7 × 41.3 in). The lying surface is 38 cm (15 in) from the floor and the back reaches 59 cm (23.2 in). LaCividina lists it as a module with its own codes, so it can be ordered by itself.
Yes. Every seating module and both sofas are offered with an upholstered base, finished in the covering chosen for the piece, as the alternative to lacquer. The low table is the one exception: it is produced lacquered and nothing else.
It is. The LaCividina price list states that the product is available made to measure, with a quotation on request. La Mercanti puts the dimensions you need to the maker and comes back with that quotation before anything is ordered.
The download area of the maker’s site offers 3D CAD files and BIM/Revit models of the collection, next to the technical sheet, an image library and the finishes. All of these can be downloaded from the pages of the collection.
Every Acamante piece is 105 cm (41.3 in) deep and comes in a handful of fixed widths. Five steps to set them out on a plan, starting from the wall.
Begin with the wall the composition will run along and note its clear length. Each piece takes 105 cm (41.3 in) of depth from that wall, so mark a band of that width on the plan before anything else.
The widths to work with are 105 cm (41.3 in) for a seat, 145 cm (57.1 in) for an end unit and 210 cm (82.7 in) for the dormeuse. Write them along the wall line and add them up as you go.
Two runs already exist as sofas: 290 cm (114.2 in), which is a pair of end units, and 395 cm (155.5 in), which adds a single seat in the middle. Compare both figures with the length noted for the wall.
Sofas, seats, end units and dormeuse share a single depth, 105 cm (41.3 in). Whichever widths the run combines, the band marked on the plan holds from the first piece to the last.
The footstool and the low table each measure 105 × 105 cm (41.3 × 41.3 in), the plan of the seat. Once the seating is fixed, draw each of them as one more square of that size.
