Stefano Boeri Interiors, furniture that learned from exhibitions

Before the furniture came the exhibitions. Stefano Boeri Interiors, founded in Milan in 2018 by architect Stefano Boeri together with Giorgio Donà, keeps interior architecture, product design and exhibition design under one roof, and also curates events, builds trade-fair installations and designs graphic identities. Fitting out a show is an unforgiving school: everything has to arrive, fit and stand straight on opening day, in front of everyone. The studio names its own foundation plainly — the quality of processes — and that discipline carries over into every drawing.

For Frezza the studio signed Mux70, an executive range with a height-adjustable desk, meeting table, coffee table and sideboard, renewing a line first launched in 1984. Ask La Mercanti about it when an executive floor wants Italian authorship and the office around it keeps changing shape. This is one show that never gets dismantled.
