Twenty-eight books about one practice: Claesson Koivisto Rune

Most design studios appear in books. Claesson Koivisto Rune has twenty-eight devoted to its work alone – among them a 400-page architectural monograph published by Birkhäuser in Basel in 2020, and In Transit, issued by Rizzoli New York in 2024. The Stockholm partnership was founded in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, and the volume of published material is itself the argument: a body of work consistent enough to be read twenty-eight times without repeating itself.

The office designs for Frezza among others, and that is where La Mercanti carries it: Radar, a family of eight pieces built on one continuous curve, from the executive chair through lounge armchairs and sofa to poufs and tables.
