Italian manufacturers rarely name their versions with a wink. IVM does: strip Lloyd of its modesty panel and drawer units, leave four aluminium loop frames in Pewter or Olive Brown under the top, and the price list calls it NAKED. It is an honest word for an honest idea — a classic executive desk that earns the title through proportion and symmetry rather than bulk, and is confident enough to show exactly how it stands up.

Designed by Giorgio Topan, Lloyd builds its character from the section upwards: loop frames of 105x13 mm, a 15 mm panelled work surface over a 40 mm core, and a slide-out desk pad in Brown faux leather that opens onto a compartment for cables, power and the clutter every tidy desk secretly owns. Dress it in Canaletto Walnut or Eucalyptus veneer and it reads boardroom; lacquer it in FENIX Beige LUXOR or gloss Ice White and it reads founder's office. Same bones, different tailoring.

The collection carries the idea through the whole executive floor — octagonal meeting tables with eight powered stations, elliptical tables from 320 to 620 cm, a round table of 140, credenzas at 86 or 153 cm with a full-height integrated handle. Materials comply with UNI EN standards and production is CARB 2 certified. Most desks put on weight to look important. Lloyd undresses, and looks more important still.

What does the NAKED version of the Lloyd desk actually mean?
It is the version with nothing added: four aluminium loop frames in Pewter or Olive Brown carrying the top, no modesty panel, no suspended drawers. IVM gave the barest configuration its own name — a rare case of a price list telling you the design philosophy.
Which finishes can the Lloyd desktop be specified in?

Five decisions for facility managers and interior designers furnishing a director's floor — starting from what to leave out, which is where Lloyd is strongest.

Start from NAKED and justify every addition
Specify the bare loop-frame desk first. Add the modesty panel only if the desk faces the door, drawers only if the director actually keeps paper. Every element you skip keeps the room lighter.
Pick the wood or the colour, not both
Walnut and Eucalyptus carry the room on their own; the FENIX and gloss shades work best against quiet walls. Mixing loud top and loud architecture is how executive floors age badly.
Put the technology under the pad
Route chargers and cables into the compartment beneath the slide-out desk pad, and keep the desktop empty. A classic desk with visible cabling is a contradiction in terms.
